A somewhat belated Happy New Year! ….. and what a year it promises to be! A full

Ironman in the UK for the very first time (apologies to Longest Day), a whole host of half-

IM’s and middle-distance triathlons, and the Barracuda Duathlon series to look forward to.

Life doesn’t get any better - so get your membership fees paid up and indulge in the

country’s fastest growing sport after binge-drinking!

As we approach the Barracuda awards evening I will continue to pester you to get your

votes in!

Please consider your votes for your fellow triathletes then return your voting papers to

Alan Metcalfe, returning officer for the votes this year (his details appear on the voting

forms). Closing date for votes is February 14, 2005.

Results inside from a whole host of pre- and post-Christmas events including the

notorious Tough Guy (where Tom Day and Simon Nendick joined a cast of thousands in

ritual humiliation), the final MTB duathlon, Ferriby 10 (mightily popular with Barracudas

this year), and the Wheeldale Tandem (where the Barracudas had three teams

competing).
